Position Summary
As a Business Development Representative, you will work as the tip of the spear producing and driving business for our company. This includes conducting market intelligence, lead generation, building and maintaining relationships with current and prospective pharmaceutical and industry clients, and delivering insights to our cross-functional teams to support ongoing initiatives. This position is in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where effective communication, personal initiative, attention to detail, process development skills and problem-solving are essential. Reporting to the CEO, you will receive sales coaching and training and will be responsible for growing the business development function of TREND Community with the opportunity to mentor and manage new team members in the future.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct clinical landscape and pipeline analysis on existing and prospective pharmaceutical and industry clients
- Support the new business sales process from initial lead preparation, introductory call, and online capabilities demonstrations through to proposal and close
- Generate a consistently strong pipeline of new opportunities to exceed achievable yet challenging quarterly sales targets and ensuring all data is captured and updated in our CRM (monday.com) and sales forecasts provided weekly to senior management
- Collaborate with the research and data teams to identify new sales opportunities, campaign messaging and timely delivery of our insights to help solve client’s business problems
- Provide input on new product development projects
- Build long lasting relationships with key industry decision makers
What You Have
● Educated to a minimum of undergraduate degree level, science or business-related degree preferred
● A strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and drug development is desirable
● Ability to gather, learn and apply new industry knowledge, sales processes, and techniques quickly and effectively to demonstrate fast results
● Experience with using Monday.com or other CRM platform is desirable
● Highly self-motivated, resourceful and target driven
● Articulate with outstanding written and oral communication skills

Special Requirements
- Successful candidates must pass a criminal background check
- This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, on-site position, with the possibility of a hybrid schedule (to be determined with your supervisor)
