TREND Community’s Report on PWSAUSA 2023 National Convention
PHILADELPHIA, June 14th 2023 – TREND Community, a digital health analytics company that turns the conversations of rare, chronic, and emerging disease communities into actionable insights today announced that its team members will participate in the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association USA 2023 National Convention which will be held June 21st-24th at the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace, Orlando, FL.
On Thursday, June 22 at 9:10am ET, TREND Community CEO Maria Picone, and the Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) community, will participate in a roundtable titled “PWS Clinical Trial Endpoints” with speakers Jessica Duis, MD, Pediatrics and Genetics, Children’s Hospital Colorado, University of Colorado, Tony Holland, MD, Clinical and Academic Psychiatrist, President of IPWSO, Theresa Strong, PhD, Director of Research Programs, Foundation for Prader-Willi Research, and Janice Forester, MD, Developmental Neuropsychiatrist, Pittsburgh Partnership in the Sabal A-B room.
Later on Thursday at 3:15pm ET, Maria and the Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) community will be participating in the Externally-Led Patient-Focused Drug Development Meetings (EL-PFDD) on Driven Clinical Trial Design in PWS. This will take place in the Main Sabal Ballroom.
On Saturday, June 24 at 2:30pm ET, Maria will moderate a fireside chat titled “Conversation with the Clinicians: A Synergistic, Multidisciplinary Approach” with Dr. Jennifer Miller, Dr. Deepan Singh, and Dr. Amee Revana. Based on their many years of PWS clinical practice, these expert panelists will discuss the complexities of PWS, how a holistic approach and promising drug therapies are improving patient mental health and overall health outcomes, and the challenges that still exist. This will take place in the Main Sabal Ballroom.
